Distribution
Limited mostly to retail agencies that specialize in healthcare and more specifically nursing home and other long term care facilities liability. Wholesale access is limited to no more than four brokers.
Target States
ASI Healthcare is currently targeting risks in all states.
Restricted States
Non-authorized states are as follows:
- Connecticut
- Delaware
- Iowa
-Oklahoma (ASI's state of domicile- writen on admitted basis through American Safety Casualty Insurance Company).
Target Producers
We're actively looking for new production sources in target states, with an eye on partners who have experience in the healthcare liability market and are interested in a new capacity. We are looking for producers with a minimum of five or more long-term care accounts.
Exclusives
Currently ASI Healthcare has territory exclusives in the following states:
- California
Target Risks
Traditional long-term care facilities (nursing homes, assisted living facilities, continuing care retirement communities, and more).
- Mainly geriatric populated facilities
- Facilities with limited sub-acute care
- Facilities with limited psychiatric diagnosed residents
We are looking for accounts that present with a clean five year carrier loss history, facilities that demonstrate staffing levels that are 90th percentile, or better, of state average, and single facilities or small chains with three or less facilities.

Completed application (Print and complete or use the electronic form to fill out and print the MedSolutions application for insurance. We also accept competitors applications.)

Currently valued 5-year carrier loss runs.

Most recent 6-month "Facility Quality Measure/Indicator" report showing state percentiles. (Skilled nursing facility)

Most recent annual financial statements, including the balance sheet. For new business, financials are only required if the retention is $10,000 or greater ($25,000 or greater on renewal business), has a secondary retention, or has a retrospective rating plan.

Most recent state inspection with plans of correction. (Assisted / Independent living facility)
