Specialty Programs
Through qualified program managers, American Safety Insurance focuses on developing customized insurance, reinsurance and alternative funding programs for small and mid-sized specialty niche and homogenous groups of risks.
We look for program manager partners that have established underwriting expertise in the area of their specialty insurance program. Because of this, they are willing to participate in a portion of the program’s risk and have a proven ability to perform the necessary underwriting, marketing servicing and support functions. See the links below for our current in-force programs. We will examine both in-force and start-up programs that fit our desire to provide insurance solution for underserved classes of risks.
Our target program:
• Generates $5- $20 million in annual direct written premium within two years
• Professional and/or general liability, property coverages
• Preference for non-admitted paper
• Is able to remain profitable during cyclical markets
• Is planned to be in-force with ASI for at least four years
EXCLUDED CLASSES: Workers Compensation, Medical Malpractice, Auto Liability, Ocean Marine, Personal Lines, Crime, Healthcare, USL&M, CAT-Exposed Property
