Funded Alternative Programs
American Safety Insurance offers a solution for insureds with hard-to-place risks who find insurance costs prohibitive in the standard market or have a coverage need on which they retain a large portion of their own risk. This type of alternative risk structure allows the policyholder to assume greater control over their insurance program.
ASI’s fully funded program allow an insured to demonstrate evidence of insurance while controlling costs by avoiding the rate fluctuations found in the standard insurance market. It allows the insured to retain underwriting profits and investment income, and, under the claims-made form, gives the insured the ability to roll over collateral from year-to-year to avoid stacking collateral requirements.

• Healthcare Facilities (i.e. Nursing Homes, Assisted Care Facilities, Hospitals, etc.)
Available coverages include general liability, products completed operations and professional liability, and can be written on an occurrence or claims made basis. All damages (including indemnity, expense, allocated loss adjustment expense, defense costs and punitive damages) are within policy limits. Coverage is written on non-admitted paper.
